Your Battery Is Dying
The alert didn't show up. What happened?
Make sure the app is running — you should see the battery icon in your menu bar. If you recently restarted your Mac, check that "Launch at Login" is enabled in the app's settings.
Can I change when the alert appears?
Yes. Click the battery icon in your menu bar and adjust the threshold slider. You can set it anywhere from 1% to 50%.
The alert is too loud / I don't want sound.
Toggle "Alert Sound" off in the menu bar settings. The full-screen visual alert will still appear.
I accidentally dismissed the alert. Will it come back?
The alert won't re-trigger for the same battery session (to avoid nagging). If you unplug and the battery drops below your threshold again, it will alert you again.
Does this app drain my battery?
No. The app uses event-driven monitoring (via Apple's IOKit), which means it uses zero CPU while idle. It only activates when your battery level changes.
Does the app collect any data?
No. Zero data collection, zero analytics, zero internet required. Your battery level stays on your Mac. See our Privacy Policy.
I have multiple monitors. Does the alert show on all of them?
Yes. The full-screen alert appears across all connected displays.
What macOS versions are supported?
macOS 14 (Sonoma) and later.
